The short version

  • Listing is free. There is no sign-up fee or monthly cost.
  • Clients pay a 20% deposit online, which BookToursGozo keeps as its fee. They pay you the rest on the day.
  • You keep your calendar up to date, honour every confirmed booking and run your tours safely and legally.
  • We check your business and every tour before it goes live.

1. The parties

This agreement is between [BookToursGozo Ltd], company number [C 00000], [registered address, Malta] ("BookToursGozo", "we") and the business that registers an operator account ("you", "the operator"). The person who registers confirms they are authorised to bind that business.

2. Who can join

To list tours you must:

  • be a business legally registered in Malta, or legally entitled to operate there;
  • hold every licence and permit your activities need, including any required by the Malta Tourism Authority and, for vessels, Transport Malta;
  • hold public liability insurance appropriate to your activities, and keep it in force;
  • upload your company registration, licence and insurance documents, and send updated ones when they expire or change.

We review every application and may ask for more information or visit you. We may decline an application at our discretion. Your tours cannot go live until your business is approved.

3. Your tours

  • You create and manage your tours in your operator dashboard. Descriptions, photos, prices, meeting points and schedules must be accurate, complete and kept up to date.
  • You must own, or have permission to use, every photo and text you upload. You give BookToursGozo a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content, and to adapt it (for example to translate or shorten it), to promote and sell your tours for as long as you list with us and for a reasonable time after.
  • We review each tour before it goes live and may ask for changes, decline it, or take it offline if it breaks these terms, the law, or our quality standards.
  • You choose which tours to list. Listing with us is not exclusive: you may sell the same tours elsewhere.

4. Prices, deposit and balance

  • You set your own prices, in euro and including VAT where it applies.
  • Clients pay a deposit online when they book, currently 20% of the total price unless we agree a different rate with you in writing. The deposit is BookToursGozo's fee for marketing and selling your tour and handling the booking, and is kept by us.
  • The client pays you the balance (the total price minus the deposit) directly, before the tour starts. You are responsible for collecting it, for issuing any receipt or invoice required, and for your own taxes on it.
  • You must not charge a BookToursGozo client more than the balance shown in their confirmation for the tour as booked, or add fees that were not on the tour page.
  • There are no payouts from BookToursGozo to you, and no money from you to us, except where we agree otherwise in writing.
  • We may change the deposit rate with 30 days' written notice. Bookings already made keep their deposit.

5. Bookings and clients

  • BookToursGozo manages bookings and communication with clients. Before each departure we send you the booking details you need: lead client name, number of people, balance to collect and any notes.
  • Every confirmed booking is binding on you. Keep your availability accurate and close dates as early as possible when you cannot run a tour.
  • Do not ask BookToursGozo clients to cancel and rebook with you directly.

6. Cancellations and no-shows

  • Client cancels 24 hours or more before departure: we refund the client's deposit. Nothing is owed to you.
  • Client cancels later, or does not turn up: the deposit is kept by BookToursGozo and the client owes you nothing. Mark no-shows in your dashboard or tell us.
  • You cancel: only for weather, sea conditions, safety or other reasons outside your control. Tell us immediately so we can contact the clients. We refund their deposits or rebook them. Repeated cancellations for other reasons may lead to suspension.

Clients see these rules in our cancellation policy.

7. Running your tours

  • Run each tour as described, safely, and in line with all laws and licence conditions that apply to you.
  • Use qualified, properly briefed staff and well-maintained, certified equipment and vessels.
  • Give clients clear safety instructions and refuse anyone who is unfit or unsafe to take part.
  • Treat clients fairly and without discrimination.
  • Tell us about any accident, serious complaint or incident involving a BookToursGozo client within 24 hours.

8. Client data

We share client details with you only so you can run the tour. You must use them only for that booking, keep them secure, delete them when no longer needed, and not use them for marketing unless the client has agreed to it directly with you. Each of us is responsible for complying with data protection law for the data we hold. How BookToursGozo handles personal data is set out in our privacy policy.

9. Liability and insurance

You are responsible for your tours, your staff and your equipment, and for any loss or injury they cause. You will compensate BookToursGozo for claims, costs and fines that arise because you broke this agreement or the law, or because of how you ran a tour.

BookToursGozo is not liable for indirect losses or lost profits. Our total liability to you in any year is limited to the deposits we received for your tours in that year. Nothing in this agreement limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Suspension and ending

  • You can stop listing at any time by pausing your tours and asking us to close your account. Bookings already made must still be honoured.
  • We may end this agreement with 30 days' notice for any reason.
  • We may suspend your account or take tours offline immediately if your documents expire, if clients' safety is at risk, after serious or repeated complaints, or if you break this agreement.

11. General

You are an independent business; this agreement does not create a partnership or employment. We may update these terms with 30 days' notice by email and in your dashboard; continuing to list after that means you accept the change. This agreement is governed by the laws of Malta and the courts of Malta have jurisdiction.
